Forms Service for PDF Generation

The Forms solution enables real-time generation of forms from templates. Reusable components like headers and footers can be centrally managed as fragments. Changes to these fragments are applied across all referenced forms. With fragments, changes—such as updates to a footer—need only be made once. Forms service also allows data extraction, directly transferring it to the company’s core systems, significantly reducing processing effort in form-based business and administrative processes.

Reader Extensions

Reader Extensions embed usage rights directly into Adobe PDF files, enabling functions in Adobe Reader, such as embedding data in 2D barcodes, adding attachments, and filling out dynamic XFA forms.

PDF Generator

The PDF Generator converts various file types (MS Office, Open Office, image files, etc.) into PDF or PDF/A formats, and vice versa, on the server side.

Output

The Output Service generates PDF/A documents, merges XML data with templates, and manages the generated output via print, email, or PDF.

Digital Signatures

The Digital Signatures Service validates and applies signatures via the AEM Forms Server. Integrating electronic signatures automates important business processes, enabling the transition from paper-based workflows to automated online processes. This ensures data authenticity, compliance with legal requirements, reduces costs, and improves customer satisfaction.

Workflows

After form submission, complex processes can be triggered. With an intuitive user interface, downstream processes can be modeled. AEM Forms integrates with external workflow engines like Microsoft PowerAutomate, enabling the reuse of existing enterprise processes.
