Training schedule
Day 1: Introduction to AEM, page management and templates
The first day starts with an introduction to the AEM architecture and basic navigation in the system. Participants will learn how to work with the AEM interface and Omnisearch and how to create and integrate Experience Fragments and Content Fragments on pages. Another focus is on page management, working with templates and the various page properties, including SEO.
- Introduction to the AEM architecture: Author vs. publisher
- Navigation and Omnisearch: Using the AEM modules for efficient content discovery
- Creation and management of Experience Fragments and Content Fragments
- Integration of content and experience fragments in pages
- Working with templates: Using templates to structure pages
- Page properties: Configuration of standard, SEO and advanced settings for pages
Day 2: Components, layout mode and asset management
The second day focuses on the use of AEM components for editing page content. Participants will learn how to use the layout mode for responsive design and work with the available breakpoints. Another focus is on the efficient management of assets and the use of tagging to organize and search for content. At the end of the day, important AEM functions such as the rollout process and the publish process will be covered.
- Working with AEM components: Using dialogs, Rich Text Editor (RTE) and Style System
- Layout mode and breakpoints: Creating responsive page layouts
- Asset management: Efficient use and management of digital assets in AEM
- Tagging: Creation and use of tags to organize and search for content
- Page Management (MSM Multi-Site Management): Working with language copies, live copies and the rollout process
- Publish process: publishing pages and managing the publishing status
Learning objective
After the course, participants will:
- Have a solid understanding of the AEM architecture and the basic workings of the AEM system.
- Be able to create, edit and manage content, including the use of templates and components.
- Have experience working with Experience Fragments and Content Fragments.
- Be able to work efficiently with AEM's asset management and tagging mechanisms.
- Be able to navigate layout mode and create responsive page layouts.
- Be able to use the most important processes such as the rollout and publish process with confidence.
This training enables content authors to use AEM effectively and to create, manage and publish content on websites efficiently.
